Proceeds From Shopping and Dining on Saturday, March 14 to Benefit Sunday Strong

VERO BEACH – Sunday Strong, a 501c3 nonprofit founded in Vero Beach, is excited to be the beneficiary of two fundraising events hosted by J. McLaughlin and Citron Bistro, located at The Village Shops, on Saturday, March 14. The Village Shops is located at 6174 N Highway A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963.

J. McLauglin will donate 15 percent of proceeds from store sales made during 1:00 PM–5:00 PM on March 14 during its “Sip & Shop.” Sunday Strong athletes will be at the store throughout the event, along with founder Laura Radocaj and board member Wendy Shafranski, owner of Vero Strength + Conditioning, founding gym of Sunday Strong, to answer any questions about the program.

Citron Bistro will be adding an entrée special, inspired by Sunday Strong, to the menu that Saturday, and will donate 50 percent from the Sunday Strong special to the organization.

Sunday Strong’s mission is to increase physical activity in adults with intellectual disabilities (ID). This is achieved by working with fitness facilities to host one weekly exercise class for adults with ID at no charge to the athlete. There are currently five fitness facilities in Indian River County—Vero Strength + Conditioning, Vero Fitness, Christi’s Fitness, Studio 14 and Treasure Coast CrossFit—hosting Sunday Strong classes to more than 30 athletes enrolled in the program. Athletes now have access to a variety of fitness classes, including CrossFit, functional fitness, Yoga and Zumba.

“Community support and fundraisers are crucial to helping Sunday Strong continue to grow in Indian River County and expand nationwide,” said Laura Radocaj. “I am thankful to both J. McLauglin and Citron Bistro for believing and supporting our cause. I encourage everyone in the community to come dine, shop and meet our incredible athletes at the Village Shops on Saturday, March 14.”
