FORT PIERCE – On Oct. 5, the Islamorada Beer Company will be celebrating five years of quality craft beers, as well as welcoming in the fall season with its 5th Anniversary Oktoberfest.

The event will be held at two locations on the same day, including the company’s Fort Pierce site and its original location in Islamorada.

First founded in Islamorada in 2014, the Islamorada Beer Company has been a part of the Fort Pierce community for the past three years. They specialize in “quality local craft beer with the drinkability that complements our lifestyle”, as stated on the brewery’s website. For the Islamorada Beer Company, their Oktoberfest celebration is “the biggest event all year,” according to Dana Collada, event coordinator and taproom manager for the company.

The event will be held all day, from noon until 10 pm. Guests can expect live music, local vendors, and of course plenty of craft beers to enjoy. The company will be featuring a new beer release made especially for Oktoberfest, as well as special release glasses designed for the event. The first 10 customers will receive a free pilsner glass, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to assist relief efforts in the Bahamas following the wake of Hurricane Dorian. Islamorada Beer Company is also working with MMPS Environmental, a nonprofit firm based in St. Lucie County, to organize several charity raffles for the event, with proceeds going towards the Bahamas relief fund.

The 5th Anniversary Oktoberfest will feature live performances from the Tom Jackson Band, Ben Lewis, and Vivian Leigh. There will also be a number of food trucks catering the event including Custom Creations and JYD BBQ, plus many more. In addition, Islamorada Beer Company is partnering with Artist and Breads Bakery in Fort Pierce to offer a variety of baked goods and treats made from the spent grain used by the brewery in their craft beers.

This event will be a day of fun for the whole family. Kids will be able to enjoy activities such as face painting, and guests are also welcome to bring their dogs along to the celebration. Oktoberfest will take place rain or shine, and it’s the perfect way to start off the fall season while celebrating Islamorada Beer Company’s five years of quality crafting.
