Resinated

St. Petersburg based, Resinated, will preform at Capt. Hiram's Summer Sunday Reggae Series on June 9.

SEBASTIAN ― The 2019 Capt. Hiram’s Summer Sunday Reggae Series runs from June 2 through August 25.

Next up on June 9 is a double bill featuring two Florida bands, Resinated and Coastal Breed. The show is free, and the party gets started around 2 p.m.

Resinated is a funk and reggae dance band from the St. Petersburg area. Resinated is led by Madeira Beach singer/songwriter Kenny Mullins (lead vocals/guitar). High school friends John Gray (bass/vocals) and Jeff Applefield (keys/vocals) helped Mr. Mullins expand the band from its roots as an acoustic act. Resinated became a five-piece with the addition of Danny Bub (sax/keys) and drummer Bruno Ufret.

Resinated has toured both Florida coasts for a decade, known for high energy performances that become dance parties.

Opening act Coastal Breed, from Cocoa Beach, blends reggae with surf rock for a classic beach sound that infuses elements of punk, metal, rock, and hip hop. Band members Matthew Hunt (lead guitar/vocals), Austin Lerch (vocals), Chris Jeffries (bass), and Guillermo Lopez (drums) will keep you dancing as they bounce seamlessly from one style to another.
