PORT ST. LUCIE — The City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department is hosting a day-long celebration of fun and fitness at two fitness centers on Saturday June 12.

Admission will be free all day at the Humana Fitness & Wellness Center in the MIDFLORIDA Event Center at 9221 Southeast Event Center Place: and at the Community Center Fitness & Wellness Center at 2195 S.E. Airoso Blvd.

Celebrated on the second Saturday of June each year, Family Health & Fitness Day is an opportunity for local community members to discover the health benefits provided by their local parks and recreation department.

In addition to a free all-day pass at both locations, fitness professionals will be offering a free Zumba class at 6:30 p.m.

outdoors in Village Square, in front of the MIDFLORIDA Event Center.

Immediately following the class, there will be a photo opportunity at sunset to showcase all the participants.

Fitness day kicks off the Parks & Recreation Month Celebration in July where we will ask residents to take and submit sunset photos of their favorite parks. The photos will be entered in a contest for a chance to win a $100 gift card.
