• Pelican Island Audubon Society Summer Camps: Give your child a summer of outdoor adventure, exploration, and education at Pelican Island Audubon Society’s summer camp! We are offering four week long camp sessions on June 7-11, June 14-18, June 21-25 and July 26-30 for children aged 10-17.

The camp is held at Audubon House, 195 9th St. SE (Oslo Road), in Vero Beach.

The cost is $200 per week.

• 52nd Annual Sport Fishing Offshore Tournament: The Florida Sport Fishing Association is hosting their 52nd Annual Offshore Slam fishing tournament on June 5 off Port Canaveral.

A Captain’s party will be held Friday, June 4, at the Kiwanis Island Park Recreation Center located at 951 Kiwanis Island Park Road on Merritt Island. It starts 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

More than $22,000 is available in General Awards, including $5,000 for the Big Fish Prize, and $3,000 for General Slam.

One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a re-imagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, the musical follows preferred son Joseph. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family.

• Drama is Fun at VBHS Summer Camp: Sign up for the 2021 Vero Beach High School summer camp.

Eligible campers are those entering 2nd grade to students entering 9th grade in the fall. Students from any county are eligible to sign up.

Students will learn a full musical, with music and full orchestra, lights, sound, costumes, and set.

The counselors run the show technically while the campers perform in the show.

This year's show is Madagascar JR. The camp dates are June 14-25.

• Waterlily Celebration: The McKee Botanical Gardens hosts the 16th Annual Waterlily Celebration on Saturday June 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Garden is open early to allow visitors to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the night-blooming varieties before they retreat for the day and of course to enjoy the day-blooming varieties as well.

McKee’s waterlily collection is one of the state’s largest with over 80 varieties and more than 300 potted and 100 free-range plants.

Guests can purchase aquatic plants and bromeliads and observe a waterlily re-potting demonstration in addition to having the opportunity to speak with our plant experts.

Admission: $15 Adults, $13 Seniors (65+)/Youth (13-17), $10 Children (2-12). McKee members and children under 2 free.

• Country Inferno: Country music super star Mark Chesnutt along with several other artists will perform at the 'Country Inferno' on June 19 at the Indian River County Fairgrounds.

The 'Country Inferno' is an all-day country music festival presented by the firefighters of Indian River County.

Gates open at 11 a.m. The music starts at 12:30 p.m. and Mark Chesnutt will take the stage at 7 p.m.

Among the other acts that will appear are King Tide, Pryor & Lee, Kurt Stevens, Whiskey Trip and Randy McNeeley.
