• The Many Faces of Beethoven: Music Angels Education Fund welcomes concert pianist Leslie Amper to Vero Beach on Friday, January 14 for a multi media musical event and concert. “The Many Faces of Beethoven” concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 520 Royal Palm Boulevard, Vero Beach. The concert will also feature Tempo by Four who will play a variety of selections.

Amper will present a multi media musical event which illuminates Beethoven's creative impulses at age 30. The performance will include portraits, discussion of Beethoven’s compositional process and the powerful (and sometimes humorous) influence on current performers and film.

The concert also features a complete performance of his Piano Sonata Opus 31 #3. A winner of the National Endowment for the Arts Solo Recitalist grant, concert pianist, Leslie Amper has presented solo recitals, concertos and chamber music nationally. Her unique multi media performances related to the visual arts have been presented at the invitation of the National Gallery of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Pittsburgh Frick, New York State Museum, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Phoenix Art Museum, Carnegie Mellon University and California State University East Bay among many others.Opening the concert will be Tempo by Four. The ensemble consists of Gretchen Cover on harp, Sally Shorrock on flute, and Ed Sheridan and Dr. David Borst on bassoon.

Founded in the summer of 2016 and receiving its official 501(c)3 nonprofit designation in 2019, Music Angels Education Fund was created by Linda Sposato to provide music lessons to talented, committed students who have a financial need. The scholarships provided through Music Angels allow the students to study under the tutelage of the appropriate music teacher, receiving lessons at little or no cost to the student. The Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1985 to promote jazz as a unique American art form, and provide scholarships to local high school music students. A buffet Lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m. for $20, followed by the concerts at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 for Society members and $45 for non-members. • 2022 Vero Beach Air Show: J The Vero Beach Airshow returns in 2022, and will be featuring the United States Navy Blue Angels. PARKING IS $10 PER CAR - ALL LOTS. Handicapped parking is available.
