MARTIN COUNTY – On Friday Feb. 21, Martin County Parks and Recreation will present its Beach Movie Night series with the 2017 film Deep. This free event will take place at 4191 Northeast Ocean Boulevard in Jensen Beach from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Attendees should be sure to bring blankets, chairs, and insect spray to fully enjoy the film which will be shown on a 20-foot-tall screen. Concessions will be provided by Sand Dune Cafe. This event is subject to weather and may be canceled in case of inclement conditions. On Saturday Feb. 22, Tako Tiki in Jensen Beach will host the first annual House a Vet Music Fest fundraiser. Established in November of 2013, House a Vet is a nonprofit organization based in Martin County whose mission is to “improve veterans’ homes and lives by engaging & mobilizing collective action of Volunteers & Partners of our cause,” as stated on the organization site at houseavet.org. The fundraiser will be held from 12 pm until 11 p.m. and will feature performances by Cassidy Daniels, Mike Lebon, Stretch n Whiskey, Waiting on Chuck, and Wang Dang Doodle. In addition, there will be a 50/50, as well as other raffles.

On Sunday Feb 23, the Palm City Chamber of Commerce presents Cow Plop Bingo at the Rockin H Ranch. Participants will have the opportunity to purchase a land parcel, and if the cow lands on that selected parcel, the owner could win up to $3,000. The event is free to the public and will feature food trucks, a children’s area in partnership with the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center and the Cowboy Circus, and live music from the Tom Jackson Band.
