VERO BEACH - The Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach has two free outdoor concerts this weekend. The theater also has indoor, ticketed comedy shows.
On Fri., Jan. 15, Minglewood plays at Riverside from 5:45-9:30 p.m. Minglewood is a tribute band in the truest sense of the word, as most of their songs are Grateful Dead covers. Minglewood also plays a mix of eclectic 1970s covers including Jefferson Airplane, Linda Rondstadt, and The Band.
Band members Jack Alber, Scott Ferguson, Chris Hiser, Bill Turechek, and Chuck Hollis call Vero Beach their home.
On Sat., Jan. 16, Joe Reid & The Heartland Band play from 5:45-9:30 p.m. Joe Reid is an Ocala-based artist who fronts a five-piece band that covers George Strait and other country stars, plus some southern and classic rock.
Both shows are three sets, rain-or-shine. You must bring a face covering and wear it. You may remove it when seated.
Complimentary tickets are required for entry, with a limit of four tickets per household. A photo ID is required to pick up will-call tickets at the entry gate. If all tickets are taken, check back, as additional tickets are released later.
Order and print tickets from the theater’s website. Choose "General Table Seating" or "Bring Your Own Chair" ticket section type. You can bring a lawn chair only if you select the "Bring Your Own Chair" ticket-pass type. If you are unable to use your pass, you must release passes by contacting email@example.com.
On Jan. 15 and Jan. 16 the theater will also have ticketed indoor comedy shows at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. The headliner this weekend is Ronnie Bullard, with opening act Rico Sita. All seats for the comedy shows are $20. Indoor dining opens at 6 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show.
