MARTIN COUNTY – Martin County will kick off Valentine’s Day weekend with Free Fair Friday. Friday Feb. 14 will feature free admission for all ages to the Martin County Fair on its opening night from 4:30 pm until midnight, as well as unlimited ride wristbands for $25.

The Martin County Fair will run from Friday Feb. 14 through Saturday Feb. 22 and offers something for everyone. There will be a midway area with carnival rides, a circus, live entertainment including stage concerts and ground shows, animals, shopping, contests, pageants, and of course plenty of fair food and beverages available for purchase. The fair is an exciting tradition for the whole family, and Free Fair Friday will be the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with loved ones.

Also on Friday Feb. 14, the city of Stuart in partnership with Seacoast Bank will present Date Night in Memorial Park. The event will take place at Stuart Memorial Park beginning at 5 pm. Dinner will be available for purchase from onsite food trucks, and guests will also be able to enjoy a variety of lawn games as well as free popcorn with the movie. The feature film will be Pearl Harbor and in addition to the movie, the Road to Victory Military Museum will have war vehicles on display during the event.

On Saturday Feb. 15 and Sunday Feb. 16, the Barn Theatre in Stuart will host a fundraiser concert featuring acclaimed recording artist Latraia Savage who will be performing a tribute to legendary singers Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Barn Theatre, including improvements and refurbishments to the venue.

Saturday evening will feature a gala cocktail reception from 6:15 pm to 8 pm, followed immediately by the concert. The reception will include wine and cheeses, hors d’oeuvres, other refreshments, and prizes. Sunday afternoon will offer a matinee performance, with a wine and cheese party from 1 pm until 2 pm followed by the concert.
