VERO BEACH ― The show must go on at Riverside Theatre, which this weekend presents free outdoor concerts and ticketed indoor comedy shows.

Scheduled comedians Sept. 18 and 19 are headliner Dean Napolitano and opening act Aniria Turney. Comedy Zone show times are 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., with doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner and/or drinks. The kitchen closes at 9:15 p.m.

Shows run approximately 80 minutes, and are recommended for ages 18 and up.

In compliance with reopening regulations, the theater has reduced the number of tables, and seating capacity is limited. Seating will comply with social distancing rules by spacing tables six feet apart.

Face masks or coverings are required, and you must bring your own, though they may be removed when seated at a table.

All theater employees will be wearing face masks, and those that come in direct contact with food will be wearing gloves. Food service will utilize single-use, disposable menus, cups, and utensils, with no-contact ordering and payment options.

Look for no-touch hand sanitizer dispensers mounted on walls all around the campus.

All Comedy Zone tickets are $18. There is a charge for food and drink, but purchases are not required. However, keep in mind that purchases allow the Riverside Theatre to continue providing these shows with reduced seating capacity. In other words, buy something!

Use your Comedy Zone tickets to access outdoor live music before the comedy show begins. Two popular local bands will perform free concerts both nights at the Riverside Theatre’s Live in the Loop concert series.

On Fri., Sept. 18, the band is Radio Days, playing rock and pop from the 50s to today. On Sat., Sept. 19, Souljam performs classic rock and jam band music.

Each band plays three sets, rain or shine: 5:45-6:45 p.m., 7-8 p.m., and 8:15-9:15 p.m.

While Live in the Loop performances have always been free, and still are, every attendee must now have a ticket to enter the area. Tickets must be obtained in advance at www.RiversideTheatre.com. There is a limit of four tickets per household. Print tickets at home or they can scan the barcode from your phone.

Every person with a pass will be allocated a seat at a table. A server will take your food and drink order.

You can bring a lawn chair only if you select the "Bring Your Own Lawn Chair" ticket-pass. Sit on the grass in front of the stage or in designated areas and order food and drinks inside at the lobby bar.

If an event is sold-out, additional "Bring Your Own Lawn Chair" passes will be released Wednesdays prior to the concert.

Parking is free.

The Riverside Theatre is located at 3250 Riverside Park Dr., Vero Beach. For more information or tickets, visit www.riversidetheatre.com or call the box office at (772) 231-6990.
