VERO BEACH - Ballet Vero Beach, in partnership with Riverside Theatre, has announced Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami as the invited company for the 8th annual Riverside Dance Festival. The festival will culminate with performances by Dimensions August 2 and 3 at 8 p.m. on the Stark Stage at Riverside Theatre.
Dimensions, founded by former Miami City Ballet principal couple Jennifer Kronenberg and Carlos Guerra, has been heating up audiences since the company’s founding in 2016. In three short years the company has already performed at venerable dance venues like Jacob’s Pillow and New York City’s Joyce Theater.
Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami will be exhibiting their signature style both in public performances, and while acting as lead instructors/choreographers for students enrolled in the 2019 Riverside Dance Festival.
For dance fans who wish to have the full festival experience, plan to attend the free student showcase performance on August 3 at 2 p.m. on the Stark Stage at Riverside Theatre, as well as one of the evening performances by the professional company.
Dimensions’ Vero Beach performances will feature the local premiere of Imagined Notions by Yanis Pikeris in advance of the work debuting at Jacob’s Pillow in August. Performances will close with the Vero Beach premiere of Joffrey Ballet co-founder Gerald Arpino’s hypnotic and show stopping Light Rain.
