TREASURE COAST – On March 17, in response to the spread of COVID-19, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis issued an executive order requiring all bars and nightclubs to close for 30 days, beginning at 5 p.m. on March 17. The order also encouraged restaurants to expand takeout and delivery services.

VERO BEACH - On Jan. 15, an accident at the intersection of Indian River Blvd. and the Barber Bridge in Vero Beach took the life of Grace Rett, an athlete on the College of the Holy Cross Women's rowing team in Massachusetts.
VERO BEACH - According to the Vero Beach Lifeguard Association, local beaches are experiencing an attendance boom. The VBLA estimates 841,413 people visited the city’s three lifeguarded beaches at Jaycee, Humiston and South Beach parks during 2019.
